Saffery is committed to Scotland at MIPIM and the success of the built environment in Scotland through the provision of exceptional, business-led, tax and business advisory support.
Sean McGinness, national tax partner at Saffery, said: “MIPIM offers the best platform both for deepening connections with the Scottish built environment community but also investors.
“Scotland remains an attractive place for investment, recently reported as being the second most attractive place to invest in the UK (behind London). Scotland is open for business in respect of residential, commercial and infrastructure projects. However, some tax divergence from the rest of the UK on fund and property taxes act as disincentives. To support this the Scottish Government should seriously consider at least alignment with the rest of the UK and some recent consultation on this is to be welcomed.”
